Teletherapy – also referred to as distance therapy, online counseling, or virtual therapy – simply refers to therapy that is conducted online via live video sessions on a secure platform similar to Zoom or Skype. You can talk with your therapist using a computer, tablet, smartphone, and any other device that has an Internet connection. It’s easy to do – and aside from being done remotely – is no different than a traditional face-to-face session.
Teletherapy may be right for you if you are experiencing:
- Depression
- Stress and anxiety
- Panic disorder
- Life transitions
- Self-esteem issues or
- Relationship issues
Teletherapy may not be right for you if you are experiencing a serious addiction, have suicidal ideations or thoughts, have Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), or have more severe or complex symptoms of a mental health condition such as bipolar disorder or schizophrenia.
Our therapists are now accepting clients for teletherapy. Give us a call to schedule your free 15-minute virtual consultation to see if teletherapy may be right for you.
